Neurologists highlight that family members are often the first to notice these shifts, which may manifest as a normally calm and patient person becoming irritable, a cheerful individual withdrawing, or an organised person starting to forget important details.
The key indication of a neurological problem is the abrupt onset of these behavioural changes, particularly when there is no obvious cause like work stress or personal issues. While psychological factors typically lead to gradual changes, neurological issues can cause symptoms that persist or worsen over time. This is because the brain regions controlling personality, emotions, and decision-making may be affected by a tumour, initially causing changes in thought patterns, mood, and social interactions rather than physical symptoms.
