by admin477351

Tim Cook has transitioned from his role as Apple’s chief executive to become the company’s executive chair, receiving a compensation package valued at approximately $47 million. This comprehensive package includes a base salary of $2 million, supplemented by $45 million in shares. Notably, half of the stock award is contingent upon meeting performance targets, while the other half is set to vest over a four-year period.

In assuming the executive chair position, Cook will direct his efforts towards external affairs. His responsibilities will encompass managing Apple’s relationships with governments and policymakers, as well as nurturing the company’s connections with key international markets. This shift marks a significant change in focus for Cook, who has been instrumental in Apple’s growth during his tenure as CEO.

John Ternus, a veteran of Apple and the former head of hardware engineering, has stepped into the role of CEO. In his new position, Ternus will lead Apple’s product strategy and operations, a crucial aspect of the company’s ongoing success. His compensation package includes a $3 million base salary and a $55 million stock award, with a greater portion of his remuneration linked to performance criteria.

During Cook’s leadership as CEO, Apple’s market value experienced significant growth, reaching an impressive $4.7 trillion. His compensation in 2025 reflected this success, exceeding $74 million. As Cook transitions to his new role, the company’s trajectory remains in focus, with Ternus now at the helm to continue steering Apple’s innovative path.
